Experience the unique, translucent light of the Cornish north coast — a quality that has inspired artists for generations.
Join Tony, an internationally recognised professional artist, tutor and demonstrator who lives locally and knows the very best locations for painting and drawing. Working en plein air, you’ll be guided to capture the character, light and atmosphere of this spectacular coastline.
The north coast is renowned for its seven magnificent bays, miles of golden sands, hidden coves and dramatic slate cliffs tumbling towards the turquoise waters of the Atlantic. Along the way, discover traditional Cornish fishing hamlets, the famous Padstow Harbour, and the beautiful, tree-lined Camel Trail following the old railway route from Bodmin to Padstow.

Each morning we meet in the studio before heading out to paint and draw at stunning locations personally selected by Tony. Returning in the late afternoon, we’ll relax and enjoy a delicious group evening meal together.
With over 30 years’ experience running art holiday courses, Tony offers relaxed, friendly tuition tailored to your individual ability, working at a pace that suits you. His easy-to-follow approach makes the course enjoyable and accessible to everyone, from complete beginners through to experienced and professional artists.
Tony is a regular contributor to leading art magazines and a demonstrator for art material manufacturers at major art fairs and art societies. He has also appeared on television and featured in live painting videos demonstrating techniques for Leisure Painter magazine.

A £100 non-refundable deposit per person, per course is required at the time of booking.
Full payment is due four weeks before the course start date.
Cancellation charges apply as follows:
- 50% within 16 weeks of the course
- 75% within 8 weeks
- 100% within 4 weeks
